Melissa
GORE
Melissa Gore was born in Kagoshima, Japan in 1987, and started to play the piano at the age of four.
In 2002 she entered the Yehudi Menuhin School, where she studied with Alexandra Andrievsky, Roshan Magub
and Ruth Nye. She has
participated in master classes by Andrew Ball, Claude Frank, and Dmitri Bashkirov.
Melissa has performed both as a soloist and as a chamber musician, including concerts at the Royal Festival Hall and
the Wigmore Hall, and in 2006 she was chosen to perform in the
opening gala concert of the Menuhin Hall.
In 2006 she was one of 5 piano finalists in both the BBC Young Musicians Competition and the Royal Overseas League Competition.
From October 2006 she will continue her studies at the Berlin University of the Arts under Pascal Devoyon.
