Dejan
JORDANOV
Dejan Jordanov was born in Sofia (Bulgaria) in 1985.
He started to play the piano at the age of 7 with his mother.
In 2001 he entered the precollege department at the University of music
in Trossingen where he studied
with Prof. Tomislav Nedelkovic-Baynov
till 2003.
Since 2004 Dejan Jordanov studied at the University of music
and performance Arts in Mannheim under Prof. Rudolf Meister and his
assistant Ok-Hi Lee. Furthermore he participated in numerous international
piano master classes, among others with Rudolf Kehrer, Konstantin Sherbakov,
Arcadi Zenziper, Ilia Sheps and Paul Badura-Skoda.
From October 2008 he will continue his studies at the University of arts in Berlin
under Prof. Pascal Devoyon.
In 1998 Dejan Jordanov won the first prize at the Steinway-Competition in Hamburg.
Since then he won several prizes at international piano Competitions in Andorra and Italy
and also at the national German competition "Jugend musiziert".
After participating succesfully in auditions Dejan Jordanov has been selected as a scholarship holder by the "Mozart Society of Saxony", the "Oscar und Vera Ritter Stiftung" and the "Lions Club Rhein-Neckar".
Dejan Jordanov has made appearances as a soloist with several German Symphony orchestras, with the Symphony Orchestra "Varpelis" (Lithuania) and with the Varna Philharmonic, playing piano concertos by Mozart, Beethoven, Chaikovski, Rachmaninov, Liszt and Brahms. In 2008 he participated in a concert tour troughout Central America and played the piano concerto in d-minor by J. Brahms with the Symphony Orchestra of San Salvador (El Salvador).
